Coin Strike
Coin Strike is one of those games we picked up expecting to delete in an hour and ended up keeping for weeks. You flick coins across a board, ricochet them off obstacles, and try to line up chain reactions that clear whole clusters in one shot. It sounds simple, and the first few levels are, but the physics reward patience in a way a lot of arcade games don't.
The control scheme is the star here. Everything runs off one thumb: pull back to aim, release to fire, and a subtle trajectory hint appears if you hold long enough. It never feels floaty, and the haptic feedback on a good hit is genuinely satisfying. We tested it on an older device and it stayed smooth, with only mild battery drain over a long session.
What kept us coming back was the pacing. Levels are short enough to squeeze into a bus ride, but the later stages introduce moving barriers and gravity twists that made us rethink our angles completely. Turning off the background particle effects in settings gave us a couple more frames on the weak phone and cut the heat noticeably.
