About
Pocket Verdict started as a group chat where a few of us kept arguing about which games were worth the storage space. Eventually we got tired of screenshots and comments and turned it into a proper site. Everything here comes from hands-on time, not press releases.
We cover the whole spread of mobile gaming, from quick arcade sessions to long RPG grinds. Genre matters to us, so we try to be honest about who a game is for. A brilliant strategy title can still be a bad fit if you only have five minutes at a time.
Games get picked a few ways. Sometimes a reader points us at something. Sometimes one of us falls down a rabbit hole and can't stop playing. We also keep an eye on what performs poorly on weaker devices, because that story rarely gets told.
Nobody pays us to like a game. If a title runs hot, kills your battery, or hides a good idea behind clunky touch controls, we say so plainly.
